当地时间6月3日，加拿大媒体《环球新闻》网站发文，声称“中国军舰差点撞上美军驱逐舰”，公开炒作美加军舰过航台湾海峡。

US and Canada hyped their warships’ transit through the Taiwan Straits, including Canadian news outlet Global News releasing a video on Saturday, which showed a PLA Navy Type 052D destroyer picking up speed and cutting in front of the bow of the USS Chung-Hoon from left to right, forcing the US warship to alter course and slow down to avoid a crash as the two vessels were reportedly within 150 yards.

When the Chinese vessel altered its course, Montreal’s commander, Capt. Paul Mountford, says the crew called the American ship and told them to move or there would be a collision. The Americans responded by asking the Chinese to stay clear of the ship, but the Chung-Hoon ultimately needed to alter course and slow down to avoid a crash.

此外，报道还援引蒙特福德说，中国军舰曾对美方表示，若“钟云”号不肯改变航线，双方即将发生碰撞，美军曾试图要求中国军舰离开其航行路线，但最终却不得不选择了减速并改变航向。他甚至还指责中方的做法“不专业”。

6月5日，外交部发言人汪文斌主持例行记者会，有记者就此事提问。 汪文斌表示：

中国人民解放军东部战区新闻发言人已经就此作出回应，大家可以查阅。

The fact is the US side made provocations first and the Chinese side only responded by handling the incident in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. China respects the freedom of navigation and overflight all countries are entitled to under international law. The actions taken by the Chinese military are necessary steps in response to the provocations by the country concerned. These actions are completely justified, lawful, safe and professional. China resolutely opposes the country concerned stirring up trouble in the Taiwan Strait and is firmly determined to defend its sovereignty and security and regional peace and stability.

事实真相是， 美方滋事挑衅在前，中方依法依规处置在后。中方一贯尊重各国依据国际法享有的航行和飞越自由。中国军队采取的行动，是应对有关国家挑衅的必要举措，完全合理合法、安全专业。中方坚决反对有关国家在台海地区制造事端，坚决捍卫国家主权、安全和地区和平稳定。

另有记者提问，中国是否认为这种反应已经成为标准操作流程或新常态？ 汪文斌表示：

I’ve shared China’s principled position just now. I would like to quote the response from the Chinese delegation at the Shangri-La Dialogue, who raised this question: why did all the so-called “unsafe” and “unprofessional” incidents – according to US officials – happen near the airspace and territorial waters of China, but not other countries? This deserves some serious thought.

对于你提到的相关问题，我刚才已经表明中方原则立场。这里我还想引用一下中方出席香格里拉对话会代表团就相关问题所作出的回应。中方代表提出一个问题，就是 为什么美方这些官员提到的所谓“不安全、不专业”的事件都是发生在中国的领空和领海附近，而不是发生在其他国家的领空和领海附近。我想这个问题值得大家深思。

I also want to stress that China respects the right of navigation and overflight that all countries are entitled to under international law. The Chinese military responded to the situation in accordance with laws and regulations. These actions are completely professional, justified and lawful.

我还要强调的是， 中方一贯尊重各国依据国际法享有的航行和飞越权利，中国军队依法依规开展海空现场应对，相关措施是专业合理的，也是完全合法的。

“管好自己的军舰，管好自己的飞机”

The maneuvers in the Taiwan Straits share resemblances to another recent incident in which a PLA Air Force J-16 fighter jet intercepted a US RC-135 reconnaissance plane in South China Sea on May 26.

在几天前，美方还曾宣称其电子侦察机在中国南海上空遭遇解放军空军歼-16战机拦截。美方同样不忘“倒打一耙”，将我军机行动污蔑为“不必要的咄咄逼人的操作”。

近日，国务委员兼国防部长李尚福在第20届香格里拉对话会上，回应所谓“中国军机拦截美国军机”的提问。他表示：“我要反问一下，为什么刚才大家提的问题都发生在中国领空和领海附近，而不是发生在其他国家的领空和领海附近？这是因为中国的军机和军舰从来不会到其他国家的领空和领海附近去做所谓的航行霸权。最好的办法是，各国管好自己的军舰，管好自己的飞机。”
